TOEFL Preparation Course

TOEFL is an acronym for Test of English as a Foreign Language. It is a standardized English language test used to assess an individual’s ability to speak, read, listen, and write in English.

TOEFL is a commonly required test for individuals applying to study at higher education institutions in countries where English is not their native language.

In translation, TOEFL is an important tool for measuring an individual’s English language proficiency and is often required when applying to English-taught study programs, as well as for living or working in countries where English is the primary language of communication.

There are two main versions of the TOEFL exam:

  • TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based Test) – The most widely accepted version, taken online at authorized test centers (and in some cases, at home). It assesses reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills in an integrated academic context.

TOEFL PBT (Paper-Based Test) – A paper-based version that was offered in locations where internet testing was not available. It has largely been replaced by the TOEFL iBT in most regions.
